Our services are for individuals who aren’t ready to leave their home for an institutional setting, for individuals who live with relatives, but because of illness or chronic conditions need support to remain at home.

3. How is service determined?
We start the interview process by conducting an in-depth assessment of your lifestyle, medical conditions, and the kind of assistance that will help you remain independent at home. We will meet with you and your family and jointly determine the scope of care.
During the meeting, we explain the services available, answer any questions you have, and help with important care decisions faced by a family with a loved one in need.

4. Who Purchases Home Care Services?

  • Home Care Services are purchased by a wide range of individuals.
  • They include:
    • the elderly;
    • the housebound;
    • the disabled;
    • those with chronic illnesses;
    • those with terminal illness;
    • those who are recovering from acute illnesses or surgeries;
    • those who are mentally or emotionally handicapped;
    • family caregivers;

5. Who are your care providers?
Our Care Providers are committed, highly qualified, carefully selected individuals who are thoroughly screened, bonded, and properly insured for care. Most importantly, our Assistants are dependable, extraordinarily caring of others Trained, Licensed, Certified, and well paid. They are Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Personal Support Workers (PSW), Homemakers, Home Companions, Dietitians, Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapist.

6. How much does it cost for your service?
Cost is determined according to the level of professional serviced required. The client’s needs are determined and discussed with the client and family and a reasonable mutual agreement is made. There is a minimum of four hours of professional care per week.

8. How do I arrange for service?
Call our office and a professional care provider will make an appointment to meet with you and your family, and jointly determine the scope of your care in the comfort of your own home. She will start with an interview by conducting an in-depth assessment of your lifestyle, medical condition and the kind of assessment that will help you to remain independent at home. 9. How is your privacy protected?
Limiting the use, disclosure and retention of collected date, Goldstar Nursing and Homecare Services will not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than the identified purposes for which it was collected, except with your consent or as required or permitted by law. Goldstar Nursing and Homecare Services will retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the identified purposes.

10. How is service provided?
We embrace Primary Care Nursing. Our Clients have an ongoing relationship with one primary nurse.

The primary nurse accepts responsibility for service delivery, and when necessary, for coordinating the Client’s nursing care.

The primary nurse develops professional care familiarity with our Client by understanding their needs, so he or she can plan you care.

The primary nurse also ensures that your services are continuous and consistently delivered in the event that a secondary nurse may be required.

Continuity of care is accomplished through one-on-one reporting, case conferencing and the maintenance of clear client records.

11. How do you accept payment for service?
Payment for medical and non-medical Home Care Services is accepted from:

  • Private insurance plans
  • Auto Insurance
  • Certain Religious Organizations
  • Employee benefit plans, including short-term disability and long-term disability insurance
  • Self-funded
