 Read More »My parents have been married for 55 years and they live in the house they moved into 40 years ago. I am their only daughter. Four year ago dad was diagnosed with dementia and mom also has a heart condition. I soon observed that mom’s constant care for dad was wearing her down mentally and physically and that’s when I suggested she hire someone to help around the house. I care deeply about mom and dad, but as a single parent, I was pressed for time between them and my three school-age children. She interviewed a few agencies and hired Goldstar Nursing and Homecare Services for home care needs and life couldn’t be better ever since. Honestly, I also needed time for myself. My wife Mary is 75 years old. She has Parkinson’s disease. A few weeks ago she fell and broke her hip and was coming home from the hospital in a couple of weeks. The hospital social worker told me about the services that was available from OHIP and the amount of time I was allowed. I knew I would need more help, and that I was going to need it for a longer time. That’s when I contacted Goldstar Nursing and Homecare Services. They provided medical and non-medical service in an orderly and professional manner and I am writing to express my gratitude. Thanks for caring.
